    MARY LOUISE GOMEZ is Professor of Literacy Studies & Teacher Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she prepares undergraduate elementary teachers in a middle childhood through early adolescent program of teacher preparation. She does this in a partner school program with two diversely populated public schools. She also teaches graduate courses related to narrative inquiry and life history. Her research focuses. on: how White aspiring teachers understand and experience interacting with racially diverse elementary and middle school students, and how Latino prospective teachers understand, experience and engage with their White peers and cooperating teachers.
