    JOSEPH CALMER is a science teacher at New Millennium Secondary School. He is currently working on his Ed.D in Educational Leadership at USC. He has a MA in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, a BS in Biology, and a BA in Philosophy. He has taught in secondary school for 7 years, 5 of which are at his current charter school where is a part of the founding faculty. His research interests are science education, teacher education, and philosophy of education.
