He is author of The Habits of Whiteness: A Pragmatist Reconstruction, Indiana University Press, 2009, and forthcoming “Global Citizenship Through Reciprocity: Alain Locke and Barack Obama’s Pragmatist Politics,” in Conversations: Locke to Obama, Leonard Harris and Jacoby Carter, eds., Lexington Press Value Inquiry Book Series, 2010.
