The Belgian educational system has, in the main, remained as described in the Educational Yearbook, 1927. Some fairly important legislative changes have, however, been introduced since then; new trends have been occupying the minds of those concerned with education and have been put into practice. This article does not purport, therefore, to do more than draw attention to the most essential changes and the most interesting trends, while supplementing and bringing up to date statistics and other figures already published.
