The Problem Of Vocational Education: Germany

It is impossible in a limited space to present a survey of the whole school system which involves the most important prerequisites for the economic independence and progress of one of the leading powers of the world. It is equally difficult to present and outline all the economic and technical conditions that such a state has created in its struggle for existence and world status during its gradual rise, beset by many blows of destiny. It is accordingly only possible to indicate the most important tendencies which must more or less inevitably determine the development, and then to describe the various schemes of organization which help in different and various ways to establish and explain those tendencies.
