IT IS evident from one's own observation and made particularly clear by the authors of the other articles appearing in this issue that in almost every field of human endeavor the past decade or so has brought profound changes in thinking and action; changes that we as a people do not fully understand and do not know how to control or direct. Even in the totalitarian states there is undoubtedly a certain amount of confusion of ideals and purposes, and those, which are current, are subject to a certain amount of re-interpretation and redirection.
