    Dr. Gajda is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont. Her research and scholarship have focused on the Agenda for Education in a Democracy, the impact of school violence on pre-service teachers, and the preparation of professional educators. Additionally, she is under contract for a book on grant writing and program evaluation with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Dr. Gajda is a former junior high school teacher who continues to work closely with teachers in local professional development schools, which form a collaborative with the University to prepare secondary school educators.
