A Conception of Educational Leadership

The demand for effective educational leadership is neither new nor peculiar to these times, although a combination of forces has tended to emphasize current needs. Continuing, constructive leadership is essential in the ongoing day-to-day activities as well as the more difficult situations. Effective leadership will grow with increased understanding of the nature of leadership, how it emerges, how it becomes autocratic or democratic, how it becomes a help or a hindrance.
