    DARIUS D. PRIER is currently an associate professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership, School of Education, Duquesne University. He is also the inaugural Chair of the Faculty Council for the School of Education. Prier has taught courses in the areas of social justice education, sociocultural studies in education, ethics, popular culture, multicultural education, and school and community relations at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research situates educational leaders as prophetic critics who use a transdisciplinary approach to theory, methodology, and intellectual practice to engage youthsí creative cultural practices and learning settings in which education takes shape in popular culture. He outlines this agenda in a recent article entitled ďSituating educational leaders as prophetic critics in black popular culture,Ē (2017) published in Equity & Excellence in Education. In addition, Prierís text, The Media War on Black Male Youth in Urban Education, was published in 2017 by Routledge.
