    KATRINA LIU, Ph.D., an assistant professor of teaching and learning at the University of Las Vegas, earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with specializations in teacher education and educational leadership and policy analysis. Dr. Liu's current research includes preparing critically reflective teachers for transformative learning, developing self-sustaining communities of practice for teacher professional development, and understanding social capital and resilience among teachers of color.
