    KARA DYMOND, is a teacher-researcher and doctoral candidate in the Curriculum Studies & Teacher Development program at the Ontario Institude for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her research interests include equity in education; teacher development; supporting learners with High-Functioning Autism; using drama to generalize social thinking; and teacher development needs and self-efficacy related to teaching students with High-Functioning Autism. As a teacher of the Program to Assist Social Thinking, Kara teaches students with High-Functioning Autism and also takes on a consultant role to help other teachers. She presents frequently to teachers, graduate classes, and organizations to increase understanding and supports for people of diverse abilities. Her recent work critically examining Autism from historical, philosophical, political, and postmodern perspectives is in press.

    KARYN COOPER is a professor in the department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, University of Toronto. For the past eighteen years, her research, teaching, and writing have been in the areas of literacy education, curriculum studies, teacher education, interpretive and critical approaches to research, and the study of digital technology for a democratic curriculum. At the heart of her work is the belief that looking critically at a variety of personal and ethical issues may support and enhance inclusion, equity and democratic practice. Her current research gathered in a two-volume set of texts features video interviews with of many of the giants in the field of qualitative research and/or critical perspectives across the social sciences and humanities. Zygmunt Bauman, Noam Chomsky, Helene Cixous, Clifford Geertz, and Maxine Greene are but a few who share their perspectives providing an opportunity to compress the history of qualitative and critical research paradigm development into a rich overview. Through the development of a website select video clips from these texts may be viewed at cooperwhite.com. Future website work involves developing the digital scholar network to further a global dialogue on qualitative research across the social sciences and humanities.
