    CARRIE E. ROOD is Assistant Professor in the Social Foundations and Advocacy department at SUNY College at Cortland. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education from Syracuse University in 2015. Her dissertation and recent publications have focused on socially just and inclusive teacher preparation, teacher identity maintenance and disability studies in education. Recent publications have appeared in Teachers College Record and Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities.
