Extraclass activities are viewed in this chapter as that area of the total curriculum which includes experiences not usually provided in typical classes. Work experiences, out-of-school activities, and outdoor experiences, which ordinarily would be encompassed by the foregoing definition, are discussed in chapter x of this volume.
