Individual Differences and Vertical Organization of the School

A total educational system is segmented into organizational units. Vertically, units are stacked one upon the other, providing for the upward progression of students through a time sequence. Horizontally, segments of these vertical units are arranged side by side, providing both a pupil-to-teacher ratio and a basis for assigning students and teachers to available space.
