Token Economies and Other Planned Environments

The purpose of this chapter is to present a view of the classroom as a planned learning environment. We will focus on the token economy procedures which illustrate this approach within the context of behavior modification and its linkage with other planned environments such as the "open classrooms," and explore the consequences of this viewpoint for teacher training and education.
