Linking School and Nonschool Education: Public Policy Considerations

In this closing chapter, we advance suggestions for a public policy that is intended to facilitate productive connections between school and nonschool settings. By doing so, we hope to contribute to the agenda for school reform needed to modernize our nation's public school system. We propose ideas to stimulate policymakers to utilize the current interest in educational reform as a means for moving sound ideas into constructive action.
