Youth-Serving Agencies as Educators

This chapter is planned to furnish examples of two kinds of educational out-of-school programs. In the first section, Judge Mary C. Kohler outlines and describes programs that are often sponsored by schools. In the second, Edward L. Frickey and Dixie Lea describe and explain the programs of 4-H, which is sponsored by state and national organizations of the Land-Grant Colleges and U.S. Cooperative Extension Service.
