Living Within the Media

by Erin Griffin ó 2005

Media. It has such a relationship with the world today, specifically with teenagers like me. Media gives off so much information that can be valid or invalid, positive or negative. Given the vulnerability of teenagers, the information goes both ways. The relationship that the media does create is so complicated. It is a constant battle back and forth, with all the information thatís given. We try to organize it and take it all inóitís just so overwhelming. The media is everything from television to radio stations to newspaper to music to magazines, anything that promotes information publicly. It has played a huge part in politics and education and in our appearance and maturity. Everyone is affected by media in some way or another. Whether the effect is for good or bad is another story.
