Living Within the Media by Erin Griffin — 2005Media. It has such a relationship with the world today, specifically with teenagers like me. Media gives off so much information that can be valid or invalid, positive or negative. Given the vulnerability of teenagers, the information goes both ways. The relationship that the media does create is so complicated. It is a constant battle back and forth, with all the information that’s given. We try to organize it and take it all in—it’s just so overwhelming. The media is everything from television to radio stations to newspaper to music to magazines, anything that promotes information publicly. It has played a huge part in politics and education and in our appearance and maturity. Everyone is affected by media in some way or another.
