    REBECCA VAN DER BOGERT served as Superintendent of Schools in Winnetka, Illinois and in numerous leadership positions in Lincoln, Groton, and Ipswich, Massachusetts including teacher, Coordinator of a Gifted and Talented Program, Principal, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, and Superintendent of Schools. Dr. van der Bogert has taught as a visiting lecturer at several universities and has published and lectured extensively on democratic leadership, leaderís growth, and learning environments. She has edited a series of journals for Jossey-Bass entitled New Directions for School Leadership, co-authored Making Sense as a School Leader, and edited the NSSE Yearbook Voices for Democracy: Transformational Leadership.
