University of Nevada, Las Vegas E-mail Author SHAOAN ZHANG is an associate professor of teacher education at the Department of Teaching and Learning, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His research interests include teacher self-disclosure, preservice teacher development, secondary curriculum development, and comparative education. In the area of preservice teacher development, he has been exploring effective practices that improve preservice teachers’ knowledge, understanding, and application of curriculum and instruction theories through the alignment of university courses and field experiences. He has published a number of research articles in national and international teaching and teacher education peer-reviewed journals.
