    JOSHUA G. IDDINGS is Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies at Virginia Military Institute where he teaches courses in writing and rhetoric, Appalachian studies, and language and literacy studies. He is the co-editor of Genre Pedagogy Across the Curriculum: Theory and Application in U.S. Classrooms and Context (Equinox) with Luciana C. de Oliveira. He is currently working on projects concerning literacies in Appalachia and explicit language instruction for English Language Arts, including English language learners.
