    DANNÉ E. DAVIS, Ph.D., is an associate professor of elementary education at Montclair State University (MSU), NJ. She has published and presented various papers about diversity in teacher education. Currently, Dr. Davis is examining LGBTQ children’s literature and teacher candidates’ awareness of and responsiveness to the narratives. Dr. Davis is the recipient of numerous awards including the National Association for Multicultural Education 2011 G. Pritchy Smith Multicultural Educator of the Year and MSU 2013 Faculty/Staff LGBTQ Ally of the Year.
