    MARYA R. LEVENSON, PhD, is Professor of the Practice in Education and the Harry S. Levitan Director of Education at Brandeis University. Before coming to Brandeis, she was a teacher in Boston Public Schools, high school principal in Newton (MA), and superintendent of the North Colonie (NY) School District. Her research in teacher leadership led to her book, Pathways to Teacher Leadership: Emerging Models, Changing Roles, published in 2014 by the Harvard Education Press. She now serves on the Harvard Education Press Board and is co-director of Public Schools for Tomorrow.
