Pomona College E-mail Author GILDA L. OCHOA is Professor of Sociology and Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies at Pomona College. She is the author of three books on Latinas/os, education, community, and race/ethnicity, including Academic Profiling: Latinos, Asian Americans and the Achievement Gap (Minnesota Press 2013) which was recently co-named the 2014 Oliver Cromwell Cox book award for anti-racist scholarship. She is currently co-editing a special issue for Diálogo on Immigration in the Americas.
