Education In The People's Republic Of China

This paper will attempt to examine education as a prime tool in bringing about the class revolution in China: raising the political consciousness of those who were formerly the poorest and the least powerful in China; contributing to a shift in power through the dissemination of knowledge to the workers and peasants, thereby enabling them to play a larger role in the society; and altering the intellectual's concept of his role within Chinese society.
